Was a 10 round fight for a belt anyways um yeah? I had the canadian winning by two rounds a lot of close rounds out of the 10 out of the 10 rounds.
I had one two three four five, six seven rounds that i marked as close rounds.
Um seven rounds that i marked as close rounds four of the close rounds i gave to bro i gave to burlinga and the three other close rounds.
I gave to uh um so to break down each round.
First, okay, first of all, the first i’ll break it down, usually usually in a 12 round fight, so i’ll break it down in three parts.
You know in in every four rounds um.
This is only ten, so the first four rounds.
It was prior to two and two first two rounds i gave to steve rose um the next four rounds.
After that i had uh.
I had a three to one i’ll, explain myself.
Just like i tell people bring your scorecard and an explanation.
Not just you know not just your opinion and then the last two rounds.
I had the last one for balanga, i mean round nine for for ballengin, and the final round for steve rose now to get into the the details round one.
I just simply felt that uh uh steve rose just simply outboxed him.
It was clear that berlanga was um.
You know the one.
You know it’s very impressive to have all those first-round knockouts, but the one negative side to that is that you don’t get the experience of going rounds just to get that professional experience um.
It was pretty obvious that that uh verlango was that’s.
That’S was his main mission was.
It was just to try to stop him.
You can just see how much bigger he was um at that super middleweight division like he looked like he was way way bigger than uh than rolls anyways first run.
I had rolls simply out boxing and i didn’t even i didn’t mark the first two rounds close and i still game the steve rose second round um, i’m reading the notes that i had you know.
All you got is one minute in between each round shout out to the judge pad scorecard app.
You can only get enough iphones, it’s great for comments.
You can make your comments in between rounds um, second round berlinga, just looking for the ko, not landing anything clean rules, boxing same thing, man that you can tell brian, wasn’t really cutting off the ring.
He was just more following him around as opposed to cutting him off and and – and you know, finding him with the jab.
He was pretty obvious um round three round three round.
Three and four are the first two rounds closed door closed door round.
Three and four.
I marked as uh close rounds um my my notes for round three was burlanga landed more because he was jabbing more first so round three was the first round i gave to berlanga uh because he actually was boxing a little bit more um, specifically with his jab And it wasn’t even that he was throwing more of them, but when he did land them like, you could just see the the powerful thud of his of that jab um.
So that’s why i gave the third round to to berlany fourth round.
I also marked as a close round um.
My notes for the fourth run was only because rose won the last minute with jabs again, but berlinga won the first two minutes looking more in control, um, so berlin, even though he still was, was it’s a kind of a cross between cutting him off and and Just following him around because he wasn’t if he, if he could have, would have cut him off a little bit better and use this jab more, it would have been.
It might have been different.
But berlin get controlled.
The first two rounds, but the last minute uh the canadians started coming back, but berlin controlled the first two rounds so round four to burlanga round five five and six that marked as close rounds specifically round five notes for that.
Barely for burlanga rose, landed a big right hand and box good rallying, make it making it obvious.
What he’s trying to do again? Your life is so much easier.
Jab is not the punch you use, um landed, a big, i mean sorry rose, landed, a big right hand and box.
Very good.
Burlingame was just making it so obvious.
What uh, what the game plan was, which is you know his his thing? Is his uh his power, stopping guys not going the distance? You know people say he goes the distance and they’re not impressed anymore um, but he was just making it too obvious.
What the game plan was.
You got ta.
You got ta kind of switch it up for a bit round, six, so yeah round five again for berlanga round six and seven i gave to to rolls specifically round six.
So at this point going into round six at the end of round six is uh.
It’S a tie.
57-57 um.
I marked round six as a close round the notes for that one was burlanga, slowed down a bit rolls kept boxing, so the rolls were reversed.
Uh, the last round, berlin gate, you know, gave it to him a little bit more.
This round here, he slowed down a little bit again he’s not used to going all these rounds.
90 80 percent of his career.
The fights were done in the first round, so this is, you know, he’s probably.
This is probably only a second or third fight that, where the fight’s actually gone the distance, even this late in in the fight so um, this is where experience doesn’t really uh.
You know he doesn’t have that late round experience yet so you could see it because it was a few times um.
I didn’t read it in the nose a few times in in round uh.
It was probably around seven that in mark i didn’t mark round seven as a close round clear for rules.
Um, one of the rounds like steve rose, actually landed.
A nice combination like made not just one time a couple times.
He landed a couple of combinations that made berlin his head snap back like it was.
It was clear it wasn’t just like close, you know, skimming punches.
They were clearly landed by the canadian so round.
Seven, i had it clear for for uh for rules um, oh yeah.
I marked it down round seven uh berlinga’s corner even said to him that he lost that round.
They didn’t say those exact words.
What what uh? What is coach rozier said to him was uh.
You gave up that round that just blatantly said you lost this.
What happened? He said you gave it up that round.
You want to discourage him too much, um going in so going into round eight going into round eight.
I round i marked round eight as a close round: um [ Music ] rolls landed way more way.
More jabs, i left i marked, i gave steve rose uh around eight round.
Nine round, marked it as a close round all the rest of the rounds round.
Nine and ten, were i marked as close rounds round nine i gave it to berlanga, i said barely for burlingame rolls did exactly what you have to do versus a ko puncher one of the the the the the narratives were not narratives, but i just read a Quick article by dan raphael that said, um berlanga wins the title of his article said: berlango wins but didn’t look impressive versus a defensive minded roles.
I don’t really appreciate him.
It wasn’t a disrespect towards roles, but there’s no need to say a defensive minded boxer, because this boxing that’s what you’re supposed to do this guy again, this guy burlanga.
This is known to be a knockout artist.
19 fights 16 knockouts, like i said either 14 or 15 of those fights, were first round knockouts.
So you you’re, you would be crazy as an opponent just to stand in it and just trade with him with someone with that much power.
That’S what you’re supposed to do you’re supposed to box? That’S why it’s boxing not just fighting um, so anyways.
My whole point of bringing that up was steve rose, my notes for round nine was he did he fought exactly the way you’re supposed to fight or box? I should say against a power: a knockout power, puncher, um, uh and uh, even though, even though that round round nine, i gave it to ralanga, but but i said barely for berlin, i marked it as a close round round 10.
The final round.
I also marked it as a close round and i gave it to rose.
I just my notes for round 10 was just that it was a close round, but i just i thought he just did a little bit more um, so my final scorecard was 96.
94 for the canadian um.
Two of the judges had the 96.
94 for for ralanga, and the other judge had at 97.
93 for um for for berlin, obviously um so much respect.
Man much respect to steve rose a lot of people most the odds were obviously stacked against them.
People were expecting him to get stopped and he he box very well man, i’m very proud of the canadian in the way he performed yeah, yeah yeah, all right.
Moving on the other main event we had.
Let me get the highlights of the other fight up here.
We had alexis rocha versus blair the flare club at the welterweight division.
This was very interesting.
Alexis rocha, not a very you, know, not a a one of the names that you’ll hear a lot, but he’s a very good underrated, boxer, very good power puncher with speed, and that was the difference in in this fight here um.
This was scheduled also scheduled for 10 rounds um.
It got stopped in the ninth round going into the ninth round.
So i sorry at the end of the eighth round, i had um rocha up at rocha up by three rounds.
You look good yes, yes, you look good in your new shoes.
I wrote you up by three rounds.
77.
74.
77.
74.
I didn’t have any any uh any close rounds in this one and that many close rounds in this one, the first round, um, first of all, just with blair, clear he fights in a way here you do he fights in a way.
That’S that’s very, very cl cloud.
Uh crowd, pleasing he’s coming up he’s coming to put on the show um.
That’S why he called himself blair the flare named after rick flair uh.
The first round club i had cobb landed, cleaner after after cobb landed, cleaner and a bit more uh, and they landed a few more hard body shots second round.
Second and third run i gave to rocha, he came more rocha landed more and cleaner.
It was a cleaner round cleaner round for rocha.
I can’t see um round three round three.
I gave to also gave to rocha the announcer said cobb, but i thought i thought rocha did it.
It might have been a close round.
It might have been a close round for rocha, but um.
I thought rocha did enough to to clean that.
Like i said, the difference was they’re.
Both throwing power like uh power punches but roach’s speed was a lot, was a lot faster, so he’s so when they, when they would throw together, it was rocha.
Roach came out in the better better in those exchanges there round four.
What did i get round? Four.
Two we got here round four uh.
Oh, i made a mistake.
I marked it as a nine nine round, but it should have been uh from judging from my notes here.
Rocha looked like yeah, it was, i gave it, it should have been for rocha.
Rocha.
Looked like the boss, cobb, not fighting like he talks.
Cobb is a very good pull down.
Cobb he’s a very good uh.
You know he’s a very good talker, um, very good at promoting himself um, but in this one here he uh don’t hold it in front.
You can tell that uh, he felt.
How did you flip? You can tell that he felt roach’s power um.
Even you know, and things like this, i heard i heard cops say in between rounds.
I heard cops say between rounds.
I won that round right and that’s.
I make sure to write that notes, because i always tell my boxers, you shouldn’t be asking yourself, even if you think you won the round you’re, not a judge, you don’t know what these judges are thinking.
So when it when, when people when, when the boxer asks, you know if, when a boxer comes to the corner and asks this coach, did i win that round? Like that’s not that’s an irrelevant question because that, even if you think and your coach thinks you won that round, the judges might think something different, so just focus on what you’re doing and uh keep fighting smart round five press this button right here, yeah round five Um rocha dominated that round.
It was almost a 10-8 round for uh as long as the 108th round for rocha still mark.
It was mark 10 talking to there’s no one looking.
I know, but it’s live right now.
So there’s people on the internet they’re watching and then it’s going to go on youtube um, so i almost marked it as a 10 round for for rocha because that’s how much he dominated it uh going into round six.
Now it’s got a few more round six.
I hope i didn’t skip any round six right.
Oh yeah, it is round six.
I had it uh going at the end around six.
It was 58 58.
55 yeah.
They see your new shoes.
These are cj’s new basketball shoes, but we’re talking about boxing right now.
I got it two days ago: yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, we’re talking about boxing right now, so cobb um round, six cobb was just in in survival.
Mode.
Roadshow was just putting it on him with the combinations and um just doing his thing.
Like cobb, i was really impressed with because it was boxing skills.
It wasn’t just coming in like throwing bombs like rocha was actually using boxing skills, cutting off the ring and and picking his shots.
I got two more rounds here, two more rounds so um, three.
More actually, three more actually uh going into round seven round seven, i marked uh, i gave actually round seven to cobb and it’s just because cindy cobb landed a few more big bombs in there wow oh, come on relax, relax round eight round eight come on round.
Eight almost got dropped and stopped.
Roacher was really putting him on him.
He got.
Cobb got dropped in that eighth round and almost stopped because cobb was putting up because that roacher was putting it on him so much and then in round nine round.
Nine is when uh rocha stopped him and was potential potential for ko of the week.
The way it was it was a technical knockout, not a one punch, but the it was the one right hook.
It was.
There were two southpaws roaches of southpaw landed, a big right hook on him on cobb and um.
Just a barrage of punches referee came to save him, so that was potential potential k of the week, and that was for that fight right there, the other one.
I just want to touch on real quick.
Was this one right here? Bechter the bully versus uh uh um, a guy that he should have beat anyway um, but this guy’s career is going to be very interesting.
Uh bechter meli kuziev, his nickname is the bully and he fights exactly like that.
Like he’s he’s, he has he’s had a lot of success at the amateur level, um like world champions and stuff in world championships and stuff like that, but he doesn’t fight like at the professional level, he’s just coming to take your head off in a boxing style.
Um, that’s why they call him the bully he got upset he.
He was on the kale of the week, a couple of months ago being upset by um by rosado gabe rosado, a tough veteran um, [ Music ], a tough veteran and uh, but he’s coming back, and he stopped this guy this guy.
What a great body shot too, the guy was coming at him and he left he let the bullies of southpaw.
He stepped back and threw a a a left to the body and dropped him which is hard to do, and you have to have confidence and timing to be able to land that punch, because that’s the face.
That’S the face you make when you land a body shot like that um, so back to bully gon na, be interesting to see his career at the light heavyweight or super middleweight yeah yeah yeah, all right there.
You have it that’s the show for this week and guys before you leave if you have fortnite download arena, because it’s finally chapter three season, two yeah yeah yeah yeah, but you have to wait and if you don’t get your v books all right all right.
