Yo talk and fight with champ bola ray his show is called the scoop.
What do you got for us tonight champ? How are you doing um great fantastic uh once again, uh? My name is bola raymond oluguwali, and this is the scoop um.
Once again, i’d like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to come and give my perspective on the sport of boxing today and yesterday.
This alps episode is simply should floyd mayweather jr have a record of 15 and 0.
september 21st, 1990 in 1955, rocky marciano, ko’d, archie, moore one minute and 19 seconds in the ninth round.
This was a tremendous win because it brought his record to 49 wins zero losses and 43 knockouts a feat that some believe still stands till this day, larry holmes came close to matching that or of 50 and 0 um, which surpasses marciano but is seen as controversial.
In quite a few people’s eyes april 20th 2002 floyd steps into the ring to face off with jose luis castillo for his wbc lightweight title now.
At the time, uh floyd was the junior lightweight wbc champion and he moved up to challenge for this title um.
He made weight the day before at 1385, as did still, but the day of the fight castile came, our mayweather came in two pounds: heavier, whereas castile came in nine pounds heavier.
So this was arguably the biggest person he has ever fought till it’s a lot of date.
The iconic harold letterman leader, was not just giving commentary, but also scoring the fight and him, and i actually saw the fight the exact same.
The first four rounds showed floyd’s brilliance.
He he does.
What floyd does you know he he was his time was impeccable.
He counter punched like no other his footwork.
His ability to evade punches was on point all, but the third round i gave to floyd for the first four rounds, but from that point on actually more importantly, in the corner on the fourth after the fourth round was the first time that floyd actually complained about His shoulder, i’m actually giving him problems, and you could see it.
You could see the consequence of it as the fight progressed from the fourth run or from the fifth round on his punch output.
More importantly, his jab output decreased.
So in essence, he was fighting with one hour and because of that, it allowed castile the opportunity to come inside and bang him up.
This is more castillo’s style, um and subsequently i and harold uh gave casillo the next three rounds in the eighth round.
Um, the steel uh castile was deducted a point for punching on the brake off of the brake.
What that means was the refs said break.
They were clinched, refs had a break and before he had an opportunity to fully they had an opportunity to fully break castile caught uh flake mayweather.
He was deducted a point immediately.
Okay, now, even in that round, because, like i said, i saw from fifth round to the end of the fight castile outworked king mayweather, he didn’t have the ability to actually keep him off anymore, because his shoulder was was impaired.
So that round, even though castile was deducted a point i gave, i scored the round a nine nine round, a nine nine round.
Six simply saying that he’s castile, pretty much should have won that round going on to the uh into the ninth round.
Now, right at the end of the ninth round, um the bell rings and floyd catches castile, with a shot now the referee um vic drucas.
I could be pronouncing that wrong.
Uh grabs mayweather as to go to take a point off, looks in castile’s corner and because they hadn’t contested the foul he allowed mayweather to go back into his corner without a point being taken off.
George foreman was doing color commentary and you can hear him actually saying take a point.
Take the point, so it’s clear that it warranted it, at least in some people’s eyes and and yet nothing happened in the 10th round.
Floyd was deducted a point for use of elbow smashed in the face with the animal um in an attempt to create space um.
He ended up using his elbow and smashing.
So a point was taken off so that round i counted as a 10 8 round.
The last two rounds were went just like the others castile out hustled him kept kept the assault on big punch volume, mayweather tried to evade, but couldn’t really use.
His left arm use his jab.
The fight ends, like i said prior, i scored this fight as howard.
Leaderman did i saw it as 115 castillo 111 mayweather, but the three judges at ringside saw a completely different fight, awarding the win to mayweather unanimously.
Two judges saw the fight as 115 mayweather 111 castile and one judge saw it at 116.
Mayweather 112 steal.
You can hear the booze from the people in attendance in the post-fight interview in the ring.
Mayweather even makes mention of the fact that he hadn’t messed up his shoulder.
He already had a messed up shoulder, but not to give excuses, because he genuinely felt that he did enough to actually win the fight later immediately, after that they had a rematch which, as far as i’m concerned, is a sign of a true champion.
If you’re a champion and you win a fight, that’s controversial, you go right back and show that you’re dominant.
You won that fight regardless.
If there’s a rematch clause or not, if you feel domain you’re the champion, you go back and you prove it without a shadow of a doubt and that’s what he mayweather did and in the second fight you saw his brilliance counterpunching.
His timing was impeccable.
His footwork, his evading, like mayweather, showed up a healthy mayweather with both weapons present showed up.
He won that fight unanimously, but the ironic thing about that whole scenario was the three judges scored it.
Two judges gave it to mayweather 115 113.
One judge gave 116 113 a healthy mayweather, be castile by a lesser margin than an admittedly one-armed, mayweather being gifted a controversial win april 8 2006 mayweather steps into the squared circle once again and meets up with zab judah now uh.
This was his 36th professional contest.
This was a much anticipated dance for a few, with a few questions that needed to be answered, who was faster between zab or mayweather and who was stronger between zad and mayweather.
Both were since station fighters at the time or were are zab judah proved within the first four rounds that he checked the box off for both those questions in this fight, i had him winning the first three rounds.
Leaderman had him winning three of the first four rounds.
Um showed great power, rocked mayweather in the first couple rounds um and his speed like counter punching speed.
It was all on point but who had a better game plan.
Well that goes to mayweather full stop mayweather.
In the first couple rounds, all he was doing is attacking his zab’s body, attempting to focus in on hitting his gas tank and putting himself at a bit more a bit significantly in harm’s way in doing so.
But it paid off because after the fourth round and miles after the third round it was all mayweather mayweather had hit his gas tank and zab’s output decreased, mayweather sean.
It was going all mainly his way until the 10th round, at which point in time, zab caught mayweather with a left uppercut to floyd’s nether regions, which was a which is a foul now.
It also ended up following up with a subsequent hook to the back of the head, so be it now um the rules of engagement, the abc the association of boxing commissions um.
I will further refer to them, as the abc uh have rules and regulations in place to deal with fouls.
In this case, what could have the ref would have stopped.
The fight saw that mayweather was clearly in distress, giving him up to five minutes to collect himself at the five minute point.
He then goes off and reassesses.
The scenario is mayweather able to continue.
If he’s not able to continue, then he has to determine whether or not this fight the foul was intentional.
It was an accidental file.
Then it goes post fourth round to the score cards.
If it was an intentional file, he can then disqualify zab judah.
If it’s deemed an unintentional file – and he could not continue mayweather could not continue, he could be disqualified himself because he couldn’t continue, but that’s not what happened.
Instead, roger mayweather jumps upon the apron and jumps into the ring as to coming to confront zab judah.
Now we’ll stop it right there one file doesn’t justify another regardless who the fighter in question? Is you can’t show anything called favoritism? Some strongly believe that, because of that act, because this is the rules of the abc floyd mayweather should have been disqualified right at that point in time.
Let me now in the abc rules and regulations, the section that deals with the second, the chief second and corner duties, reads as during the round seconds, the people in the corner must a remain seated b, must not mount the stairs or the apron or enter the Ring until the bell indicates, the end of the round d shall signal the referee to stop the fight by mounting the ring apron rather than throwing the towel sponge or anything else into the ring.
Only the referee can stop the contest and he or she may consult with the ring official on the physical condition of either boxer at any time that in itself disqualifies mayweather.
Now it also states that the referee has the final say as to continue or calling the fight, but decisions can be appealed and i strongly believe that in the appeal the referee would have to then justify his decision and he can’t show favoritism.
I can’t see his his argument outside of the outside of favoritism.
Actually now what actually did happen? Roger mayweather was ejected from the corner and mayweather went on to win the fight unanimously.
Let me know what you think.
This is a hot topic.
Hot button topic um.
I feel that the comments below are gon na get spicy comment below.
Let me see if you’re a pro mayweather or pro institution, all right um.

It’S your boy, then that’s a scoop.
Thanks very much ray, that’s a an excellent case, mr district attorney, [ Laughter ].
Honestly, there was another fight where one of my favorite fighters of all time was roy jones jr, and he was on road.
Well, actually, i shouldn’t even say that i still think that he is he’s on route.
He is in the in the company of great, in my opinion, with muhammad ali um, joe lewis, um um max lewis, like he he he was head and shoulders above everyone to until a certain point in time and even a person of that statute that magnitude his First, loss was due to a foul nobody’s above the law nobody’s above the rules.
That’S what makes the sport fair and great.
He fouled mantle uh, montel griffin, hitting him when the guy was on the ground granted.
He had not um his argument.
He has this explanation.
He he thought the montel was like going low, didn’t realize that he didn’t see his feet.
His knee was on the ground.
Um thought that he could spring up in the outcome, which is justifiable, but the reality remains.
He had his knee on the ground and you hit him and knocked him out.
Therefore, he was disqualified losing his his light heavyweight title.
I don’t see how this scenario was any different whatsoever.
I for one i’m looking forward to those comments.
This this you’ve opened up a juicy can of worms here i think oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah it’d be interesting to see interesting to see if you can go 51, though against logan paul mother.
That’S another episode exactly all right.
Well, thanks very much appreciate that.
That’S a fantastic uh case.
I’M looking forward to those comments all right, so i guess we’ll see you next monday monday cheers.
