If International Super Federal Champion the former Academy of all Africa [ Music ] good afternoon, I’ve got my brother here: ladumo nine millimeter LA mati from South Africa joining me today.
He is 20 and 0 with one draw unbeatened a rising star, all the way from South Africa.
Even for me, the deadliest man in the African continent at the moment in a super bedroom.
It’S a super bad to my drag brother yeah.
That’S right and uh.
Yeah he’s gon na sit down we’re going to speak to him today, he’s going to tell us about his titles and yeah thanks for joining me today, my brother and thanks to you man, thanks for you for doing this, you know man giving us a platform.
You know talk, you know, other people.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to appreciate man.
No, it’s always better and now the last time you’ve been on the show already the last time.
You know we were speaking about where you were from and how the boxing started.
You fighting overseas uh, coming back to South Africa um finding a new management.
It was a nice conversation that we had and uh yeah.
I thought you know: I’ve been watching you from this side of the world from Germany, always watching.
My African Brothers been watching your training and I’ve just been seeing you you’re not getting in the ring brother winning titles of the title when he fights after fights uh beating the the outside noise, the outside world uh.
You know, you’ve had some ups and downs um.
Let’S start with that, but let’s speak to us.
The last time we were going to speak.
We spoke to you you’re, going to have your IPO title fight.
Otherwise you tell us about how it went.
I see you’ve won the IBO World title, you know each and every Journey uh I’m getting into to me.
I think it is an experience.
You Know It prepares me.
You know for good.
For, for you prepare them to be strong.
You know not just only physical kind of a mentally already in any type of shape.
You know to become a world champion to be where I want to be so as long as I’m gon na be.
You know honest to my house to my everything if I’d also like to as long as I’m honest to what I want man, I think one one things will go right and when they come, the time comes, I’m ready mentally and I’m ready physically.
So I’m always staying on the ground.
So even then in the last camp it was the same thing.
You know taking training seriously.
You know staying in the gym.
You know because I was thinking the gym, helping guys inspiring World title uh last year July.
So I was given opportunity, then I took it yes, brother and you walked away Victorious with that world title um, the IBO World title and uh.
You know the guy came to South Africa.
He beat him in front of your home crowd um.
It was a great fight.
You you always, you know your style of boxing, I must say, is it’s beautiful to watch you fight? You know, uh, it’s it’s art, you know, um! You get these Fighters that some some come in just to to hurt somebody to get the early knock out to you know, but you you, like the heinies.
You know the the guys in the States you come there with your class hands are up beautiful boxing.
We can watch you from round one to round 12 and we’ll be watching classes, it’s just class man and uh, and that’s what we always see from you um.
Will you tell us more about that fight with your IBO title? How was your opponent? How was it coming in there? I know you were very unactive.
You were quite an active before that um.
How was that? Well? I wanted I feel like I was missed.
You know people forget about me and I wanted a good fight.
The tough fight where I’m Gon na Shine and I’ll call it back.
It’S gon na bring the best the best out of me foreign, the title.
We were fighting IBO, which is uh before even these days before time.
It stays here turned off.
It was training at Durant.
He had a very good team, uh, a very, very, very prepared for you.
Yes yeah, it was a good matchup.
You know that’s why people will show like they really bring it.
You know for free friends, and it sounds like uh.
Why are you speaking about the fights? I see you all passionate just about your opponents? Being, you know, really fit you knowing you’re fighting a very good opponent.
You, you looks like you’re, very passionate about that um.
You don’t looks like you, you don’t want to fight easy opponents, you you want that challenge, you know how to control distance and how, to you know, to make a fight.
You know, like an exciting part to trade that will help you the possibilities that you are traded.
You might catches me so long and then they will finish you.
You know understanding facts like that that you know being focused not to get hit first couple of rounds to learn to have a mental stamina, because, most of the time we use fight mentally, we just get that mentality show ourselves, and then we fight with all over And then, if you don’t have that control, I think it’s in everything.
You don’t have that control.
You can’t do things right, you need to be composed and and think straight.
It means there is fire of the stone.
Just don’t lose control just take commercial.
You can focus and do things right and it’s uh very nice to hear you say this brother, it’s uh, it’s also teach.
It just shows uh that you know, while we’re boxing as boxes, we’re learning all the time in the ring, even though it’s good, if it’s a good opponent, it’s even better because the opponent brings the best out of you and the opponent teaches you you’re, not just Fighting you, you you’re in a classroom, you’re learning, you know, um the more in your career, you’re, going it’s the most fun.
I have with everything that you’re doing experiences the things that you use when you’re inserting uh when you’re doing something like this.
That experience you have to kick in, I think you you’ve been learning through this fight.
When you go into another fight approaching another fight, all the things to come, all out, that’s correct brother, and before you run the IBO will title uh.
You were a champion before you were the ipf Intercontinental Champion, ibf uh Africa champion and I Abu Africa boxing Union champion and the South African National Champion.
Yes, so even before that uh World title, you were already collecting the the belt already being in in the 12 round fights already learning from you know the the already learning exactly telling yourself prepared for the world.
Title fights run us through.
Let’S go back a little bit brother to your first title: um.
It was a South African title.
If I’m not correct.
The first title was an APU, the Abu yes, now winning winning that title uh.
What was that a title? Uh to start you off at that time.
Of course there was.
It was a big, a huge fight for me because it drives back because um um it was this guy um.
You know, you know you need some guys from Iceland and every guy that they said even at hope.
He comes at home because he was despair.
Feel like there are not pitching everyone.
You know all the stars I can come before you beat.
He also took out.
He did a lot of things you know, and so I was gon na, find this guy foreign, it’s like once I go there.
It’S like yeah.
I knew I was gon na talk in my way, so this thing I already had it in my mind.
Okay, let’s see that that moment really the belt, so this moment I heard it in my mind, it came I didn’t know.
This is nothing.
This is not.
This is just I’m passing through here I don’t have title.
This is just like a training session this, for that is so there are ever already have it in my mind, I already win it when I’m reading it in my mind, I’m just training and preparing for another belt from another engine Continental.
So I keep pushing myself like that people should push myself already win it in the mind face then I go to it when I receive it received, so it wasn’t anything new for you.
You were like that.
You see it’s just a glue.
Stick that you you’re going right, navigating you’re, navigating your way right to the title now you’re gon na get it you’re navigating it’s just my way.
It’S like all these titles or notifications from the world titles.
You know catch you there quickly was there ever a time when you say to yourself: okay, um, I’m an ibf, uh Continental Champion.
Now you will use this IVF to take you to this is where now the starting point for you, where you say: okay, ipf is better than some of the belts, but you got the ibf now you said okay, I’m here now I want to go further or Do you say: okay, we’ve got this ibf.
We look now for the next um you’re.
Here you don’t want to go to w, i b o o WPF, or something like that.
Do you say, Okay IBM.
If I want WPA, I want WPC.
You know, I know a lot of Fighters that happens to them.
Some of them is they get the one like you say you win in your head, you’re passing through, so it’s not like.
Okay, I’ve got this now and it doesn’t mean anything to you, yeah, where you like, okay, ibf, Champion, there’s no need to go South Africa.
There’S no need to go IBO, let’s go ibf or we go bigger.
No okay! I have a lot of.
I have a lot of appetites and the more I think, the more my stomach is getting more uh are deeper they’re, not getting hungry so yeah.
Oh, I wanted everything everything I want all and I’m going with that passion and with that you know thing that desire that thing that pushes me that I want to talk.
You see, I am not to take back or what I’m here to you know to perform to be known, and you know to leave you see.
My name is, I think your name is already uh up there in the in the South African Legends.
If I’m not mistake, you have the best coach at the moment in South Africa, 20 and 0, with one draw who yeah, I think, like that also yeah, I think you have a bad uh, the number one record and all International boxes and you’ve beat them.
Also, if you really think about it on paper, Okay, South Africa has your cabin Arena and stuff, but uh come on uh on paper with who you fought the age, the amount where the guys have been ranked [, Music ].
I promise you two three years he’s gon na make a noise in the work division – nice, it’s nice, you know good matchmaking.
You know! That’S all! That’S great brother! That’S great! Now, after the top IPO belts that you won, I was reading a story on uh on like on the internet and all of this.
The WPC created a belt for Africa.
Uh.
There’S this beautiful WPC belt.
Now the WBC Africa belt.
Can you tell us more about that [, Music, ] um, that puts you through the top 20 if you fight for that WBC? So that’s why there was rules, no one fight for that WPC in your country.
You know six or five in the rankings.
Okay, yes qualified to fight, so it’s only top five four cars that are right: special one and two on the countries from Africa or in South Africa alone: okay, top five in the whole Africa in your country, like the guy that I was fighting with Challenger, one Of the exercises that they had in them in Tanzania, he had if I get like three fights coming to my fight – and he was one number one in Tanzania in a super prime time so and that was number one time in South Africa so that you qualified, Maybe top five in your country, if you’re, not you’re, not qualified to fight once you win that belt, you jump to top 22 WPC World Records, oh nice, nice and it must have been it must have been a.
It must have been a big honor to win such a belt.
You know uh, it’s the next, it’s it’s! It’S a it’s also a lot of people who wanted to emailing the WBC.
While the truth is to be fighting, but they were not qualified.
Okay, awesome.
So people see value in them and if they’re gon na stick into their roots and every time I think they’ll go far with those rules.
I think they will go so far.
You know because there will be making it.
You know, I’m I’m worth the fashion.
You know, can you mention number one number one number two number three number four in Namibia and African countries see the value you won’t see, type of bird fight action or it’s high on IQ or chest match.
You can see it’s a quality fight because the rankings, the rankings, [ Music, ] his brother, yes brother, I understand – give me two minutes please by one minute.
Sorry, brother, you know I’ve got a family now, a family man.
I love it, but nice.
You know very interesting what you’re saying there and uh it seems like uh.
This WPC Africa is gon na.
Have some good fights, I’m sure the WPC Africa committee are gon na line you up with uh, because you have to defend right um.
Now I decided to not defend it.
You know okay because of some changes saying what’s the next move and then we’ll announce the next book, but now some will take back now with the advice of November at the same night with choose at the same night at the same night in Japanese.
Yes, this is the fight on which date foreign next month, right, she’s, nice, hey, you’ve, been quite busy brother from not being busy, and you know uh you back on your bicycle, you’re, winning the fights you you’re collecting the the the the gold and uh.
It seems like um, you know, cards always have this plan for you and you you.
Finally, it’s you you’re on the bike.
You you’re going brother and it’s very good to see this.
You know especially uh an African fighter, not just South African, I think, for Africa as a whole to have a fighter like this, because it’s like having a little sense or a Ryan cassia or some you know, Fighters that are fighting winning and collecting the the belts.
You know I was just gon na ask you now: all your belts is one division or is it two divisions only one year, all my belt? So let’s go.
Let’S go through your belts.
It’S Junior flavor Abu champion is an African Champion.
Okay, I collected um collected um title.
Then I came back from collecting a foreign against him after Regal Robin coming from great vacancy Packers Ray Vegas is a former of WBC world champion in China feather, but now he’s a fan of a champion.
He just beat Maxwell uh from there.
He won on majority decision um, I cleaned them up, um winning IPS International and after that um Philippines from there say chino from Tanzania from there from Mexico.
From there I thought um.
I thought um all these men coming from the different countries, man, you know, you know it’s been a good journey man.
It’S been a good experience.
You know I take all the up and downs, also as experiences things that I have to pass through with you know things that made me it’s gon na shake me.
You know huge brother and uh.
You know you’re going well you’re, still only 30 years old.
There’S still a lot of time to go for laduma and still a lot of time and uh.
I really think um you you’re in the right direction.
Also South African boxing, the guys are winning world titles, IBS left right and Center um good things for the guys.
You know um, it’s exciting, it’s very, very exciting brother [, Music, ] um.
Yes, yes hundred percent hundred percent, what’s the future, looking like now for for your teeth, I know you’ve broken away from Golden Gloves.
Uh, I’m not sure if you want to yeah.
What’S the future, looking now, we’ve just got one more minute left whatever the team ESPN is promising, and also uh the guy that I’m working with later, because if there’s no Promoter on so many quality, just organized products for me, which is great to Japan for summer Series I have November, I have February it’s just it’s just a yeah man.
I think it’s time for me to take this opportunity.
You know and do everything that I wanted to do and you use it right.
That’S all nice, brother, nice champ.
It was very nice to have you in studio uh because of the low shedding and stuff.
