Foreign [ Music ], thanks for tuning in to today’s episode of knuckle up with yours, truly Mike Orr and yes, we are doing this great Prospect by the name of Lorenzo truck Simpson, and this middleweight guys you’ve got to be on the lookout.
For good thing is he’s fighting this weekend against Marcus Haywood this one in Melbourne on.
I will let you guys know the Devin Haney George Campbell’s Junior card, so be on the lookout for this one man um.
Let me tell you a little bit about this kid.
If you guys don’t know who he is, uh was the first American to be signed by mtk global, but we all know what happened there: uh mtk Global kind of disbanded.
I guess, after all those allegations of being involved with you know crime.
So anyways Lorenzo Simpson truck uh is only 22 years old man he’s 11-0 right now with seven Knockouts in that middleweight division.
Uh 13th out of 261 is what he is rated in.
The United States 119th out of 1502 in the world and this 510 southbound with a 68 inch reach, is taking on Marcus Haywood this weekend, guys man so be on the lookout for this fight.
You’Re gon na, like it uh Cameron, Moses, Jr, Devin, Haney, two.
You know what it is: man he’s taking on Marcus, Hayward, uh, six, four and one uh, so this one looks like it’s going to be a little bit of a uh, just a showing, I guess, uh Lorenzo Simpson is pretty dangerous.
This kid man, uh, he’s a middleweight aspect.
Um.
You know he signed an advisory deal with mtk global and was the first american-born fighter to sign with them uh.
You know he signed back two years ago with them when he was 8-0 with five Knockouts um.
You know this kid definitely is one to be looking out for a man.
Simpson’S story is that of inner city.
Kid fighting a refuge in boxing and fighting his way to the top sounds like it could be the stuff of Martial cliche, but that would ignore the outside circumstances: informing Simpson’s life uh the father murdered before he reached kindergarten.
The coach who inspired a character on HBO’s The Wire and that 181 and three combined record and a half dozen National Silver glove titles um.
You know the praise from Floyd Mayweather Jr heading into his senior year of high school 17 year.
Old Simpson was the top ranked at 165 pounds in the country, hard-hitting southbound, with an eye on the 2020 Olympic team, which he was part of um.
You know, Baltimore is the city of abrupt changes in scenery, uh.
You know, and definitely this kid you know was in that neighborhood, where you get into trouble and uh.
You know boxing saves your life uh, you know, finds a gym starts training gets in there.
You know uh.
This kid is one of these guys.
It’S just one of these success stories.
Man and definitely I can’t wait to see this kid man getting in the ring this weekend, guys as an amateur he collected Six National Silver and Golden Gloves in 2016.
He would become the youth open champion and also be named.
Most outstanding mailboxer of the tournament, he would follow that up with winning the 2017 U.
S national junior championships, as well as the breadenburg cup silver medal in 2018.
Uh youth, Continental Championship silver medal.
Uh, you know.
As of late, there have been a lot of prospects being fast-tracked on that Pro level.
The reason for that is an extensive amateur career as well as the age, and some of these prospects did not turn pro until they’re mid late to late 20s.
That is not the case for Simpson uh.
This 22 year old is being brought along at a slow pace.
Although is he extremely experienced? You never want to rush a fighter uh to that next level uh before he or she is truly ready.
Um, you know he’s got a great fighting style.
Guys Simpson is a very patient fighter who throws uh throws a right jab that sets up his straight left to that body.
Well, he’s nicked in the truck um.
You know talking about his power.
He does not possess that one-hitter quitter, you know knock him out.
One shot kind of thing he’s not that one punch put him to bed kind of guy.
He mixes up his punches really well.
After throwing the right hook, while going downstairs to his opponent’s body um, you know he made his 2021 ring debut on April 17th, against his opponent Francisco and Manuel Torres, who was 16-3 with 5kos at the time uh, and that was nothing other than a tune-up fight.
You know this kid he’s definitely got the ability to be world champion uh.
You know he definitely has that that brought into him highly decorated, amateur great in the ring man great to watch, fight, we’re gon na get to see him this weekend, guys so mark it.
On your calendars, you heard it here from your man Mike ort, saying, watch out for Lorenzo truck Simpson and guys this middleweek division, they’re gon na, be looking out for this kid man he’s young he’s hungry, he’s, undefeated, he’s driven he’s got everything that it takes to Be a top dog in this division.
Man right now he’s sitting at 13th at a 261 in the United States man and in Top Dog of that right now is Demetrius, Andre right and we got this kid who’s sitting just in and around Tyler Howard, Javier Martinez.
Nikita Bibi, so you know he’s climbing on to the toes of these guys, he’s approaching that top ten.
So guys you will be seeing a lot more of this kid in the future, so make sure you’ll watch him now, because I’m telling you you’re gon na wan na watch this kid fight and you’re not going to want to miss it, and you don’t want to Be jumping on the bandwagon when I done told you already about this kid so make sure you watch this kid this weekend, Lorenzo Simpson AKA truck on Haney, camposis, Junior two.
