What up talk and fight fans thanks for tuning in today’s episode of knuckle up? It is female Friday guys I have a great one for you that has debuted last weekend.
Unfortunately, she didn’t win um, but you know what it’s a hard transition from the amateurs into that Pro game.
But you know what I want you to watch out for this girl.
Her name is Lorna, Jane Redfern.
You might know the last name we’ll get to it.
In a minute, but this girl she debuted against uh a girl this weekend, uh at the dro uh drum mo hotel uh in veres this one.
It went the four rounds she lost on points, but you know what it’s it’s the first of many to come.
Let me give you a little breakdown about this girl and why uh she’s, making history man, here’s here’s, here’s what it is sporting history was made this past weekend, when female boxer became the first Highland Woman to compete as a professional fighter.
Lura Redfern former Army fitness instructor returned to the ring having beaten the best at amateur level current day.
Job is all about fighting for justice uh.
She took up a legal secretary work after an army career straight from school uh, serving with the Royal artillery in Afghanistan.
She managed to find time for her favorite sport and was ultimately crowned Army boxing champion.
She never lost the hunger as uh.
You know heading back to the ring as the highlands first professional female fighter.
Honestly uh shout out to you Lorna uh great debut this weekend.
Unfortunately, or sorry this past weekend, it’s unfortunate that you lost, but I see good things for you in your past uh, when this girl grew up as an amateur in the gym uh she couldn’t get fights.
There was no one really registered in Scotland or England.
Then uh, but now there’s a deep talent pool of women for her to fight uh.
You know Lorna is the daughter of legendary ex-f fighter lorri Redfern, who now coaches male and female boxers at his club, uh city boxing uh city boxing club is uh in’s city boxing club uh.
You know proud of laur’s passion for the sport.
He said uh.
You know she had always been fit.
She was always you know she was a physical training instructor for the forces.
So you know this girl’s got the gas tank guys.
You know she’s got the stamina to be in that ring and you know, Go the Distance as we could see from her debut this past weekend, uh, where she did go the distance but lost on points uh.
You know, Lura has uh.
You know great ability in this ring guys be on the lookout for her uh you’re, going to hear this name.
She comes from you know.
A boxing family she’s got her dad coaching, her uh, you know being the first female out of the Highlands to fight professionally.
There’S got to be a lot of pressure, so we’ll be we’ll be watching for her in the future guys.
But yes, another girl who has turned Pro for you guys to watch X, army.
You know fitness instructor, boxer Champion.
