[, Music ]: what up talking fight fans thanks for tuning in to today’s episode of knuckle up? Yours truly mike orr and cedric ben doing what we do best man, that’s prospects from around the world for you to check out man and follow for the rest of their careers.
Just like we are, and we the only channel out here doing it.
Aren’T we yep yep well guys today we’re talking about none other than raoul kirell, who is ranked number one out of 231 in the welter division in mexico right 45 out of 2046 in the world, and right now supporting an undefeated record right now of 11-0, with Nine knockouts – and this he’s known as the cougar he’s 26 years old, he’s only five.
Eight, with a 70 inch reach some long arms on this guy.
Definitely one to watch out for coming off a win knockout in the seventh round last december, so he hasn’t even been out guys yet, but that was for the north american boxing federation against kendo castenda.
Let’S talk about him cedric.
I can’t hear you brother.
Oh, do you know much about? Did you have any any and do anything as an amateur i’m just wondering if your career is hard to find when these guys are from mexico? You know because oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah under these mexican fighters.
You know they fight every weekend every other weekend, so you know yeah yeah, you’re, right, un unrecorded, which is unfortunate, but you know um yeah decided golden boy he assigned to golden boy promotion uh, that’s how we found him so yeah.
Definitely uh.
Let’S talk about him.
I know you’re watching some of his highlights and breaking down yeah um so like, like you said when they, when they come from some of these uh foreign countries, that don’t really take keep track of uh to the keep track of their amateur record.
To the extent that they do in north america, it’s hard to judge these guys coming into the pro ranks, but um.
Just the simple fact that golden boy assigned this guy shows that they know something about him and they’ve been watching him for a while in those amateur ranks, um he’s what is he 10-0 now uh, 11-0, 11-0, 11-0 and um.
Judging by the the few highlights and fights that i’ve watched from him, it’s more uh um like like tko stoppages, not necessarily like one punch, knockouts right.
He just overwhelms you with his uh with his um, with his aggressiveness uh smart aggressiveness, obviously because he doesn’t really get get touched up.
A lot he’s only 11 fights in only 11 fights into his career.
So yeah we’ll see how far he can keep this up.
Yeah well, the cougar was born in madero um.
You know of mexico and began his impressive amateur trajectory at the age of 15.
uh.
His home was known as the boxing house, which uh his brother, a retired boxer and father a well-known trainer who also began boxing at age 15, nicknamed the cougar.
This young man made his way to the international boxing scene securing some of the most prized uh distinctions, including gold in the able world championships in 2012 uh the gold medal in 2013 olympic cup championship in puerto rico, uh gold in washington, dc’s golden gloves tournament in 2013.
, he hasn’t uh.
You know he’s had an outstanding performance in 2015 world series of boxing where he secured his spot on mexico’s 2016 olympic team, where he competed in the men’s lightweight division in rio de janeiro uh.
Then, in february of 2017 he signed a managerial contract with frank espinoza and signed a promotional contract with golden boy.
Since then, he has begun to develop an impressive professional record and meaning remaining undefeated in these 11 votes with nine knockouts, and he now has big plans for uh.
You know the coming year and hopes to campaign for a regional title which he did guys.
He campaigned for that regional title ended up with it, but now we haven’t seen him in the ring since december.
So it’s been a few months.
We got to get this kid back in action.
Um.
You know what it is: man how’s it going.
Um jack love.
It thanks for tuning in can’t hear you can’t hear you cedric.
I was just saying what up what up yeah man to our man, jack 11.
177.
Thank you for tuning in to today’s episode, brother, yes, but uh guys be on the lookout for the cougar uh.
Definitely a highly tuned amateur man i just rammed up.
You know rambled off all these gold medals that this kid has won so yeah um, so yeah.
Definitely an educated, uh, educated boxer from from uh from mexico.
You know a lot of times a lot of times, like you said man, it’s hard to start to know what these guys did as amateurs, but once you um and the other thing i was gon na say on top of that is just because you do well As an amateur doesn’t automatically mean you’re gon na do well as a professional, but it does give a good a good indication on uh on on how on how you will do when you know, when you’re fighting against the best in the world as an amateur and Then, as you work your way up to work your way up in the professional ranks, you know if you fight as a high level amateur it just gets you more prepared for uh when your record counts for real.
Well, definitely, a nice start for the 26 year old man, because you know 26 he’s just entering that uh that era of gaining his old man strength as we’ll call it but uh.
You know five, eight, seventy seventeen streets, it’s pretty big man and uh.
You know what being twenty six this kid’s got the world ahead of him.
You know what i mean.
Um, definitely he’s fought, he’s fought everywhere, he’s fine everywhere man, but growing up in mexico.
That’S that’s where it becomes hard to find his amateur record, but we do know he had a stellar tour amateur career with all the accolades that i just mentioned off, but he has been a pro now since uh 2017 man.
So you know 2017 and 2021.
The guy’s been a pro for a while, but definitely we need to uh keep an eye on him, because i’d like to see this kid get back in the ring uh doing what he does best man and that’s knocking people out.
You know he’s sporting, an 81 knockout rating, so you know it’s just one of those things guys we got ta be on lookout for this kid uh jack levitt’s, saying, in my opinion, the more amateur fights the better experience is very important in the pro game.
This is true.
This is true man.
You can tell the difference between somebody who is a highly decorated amateur to somebody who hasn’t had much of a stellar amateur career.
You can definitely see that in the transition when they go from the non-paid ranks to the paid ranks um.
Yes, this kid, we don’t know his exact amateur record, but you know being said.
You know he is the 2012 world champion 2013 gold medal olympic cup championships.
Uh, you know dc golden gloves winner, so yeah he’s had a highly amateur.
You know highly decorated, amateur career.
Definitely one of these kids to be on the lookout for man, so guys look out for rowell the cougar cruel.
You know what it is man, it’s your man, mike gore, cedric ben doing what we do best.
That’S prospects undefeated undiscovered from around the world, for you guys to watch out for, and definitely be watching out for this kid to be on an undercard of a golden boy promotions at a ring near you, it’s your man, mike gore and cedric penn, we’ll see you Tomorrow same time, same channel new prospect: you know what it is: man,
