What up talking fight fans thanks for tuning in to another? Wonderful episode of knuckle? Ups female friday, hosted by your son and today we’re bringing you a young female fighter at the age of 22 straight from southam warwickshire united kingdom? And it’s a girl by the name of amy timlin, who currently holds a record of four one and one and uh.
You know what what i like about this girl man is uh.
She’S got she’s got great accuracy with her punches uh cedric.
Take us away on some of the things that you’ve seen about her in the last little while um yeah she’s, four one and one the the fight that she had to draw with against carly skelly.
It was uh pretty interesting because uh her opponents kelly.
She was her.
Opponent was a lot more aggressive and a lot more busier, but uh timlin was definitely more.
She was more accurate with her punches um, even though she didn’t throw as much.
She was definitely more clearly more accurate.
So i think that’s why i ended up in a draw because the judges couldn’t really decide like the aggressiveness versus the accuracy right.
You know but um from what i’ve seen you know she uh definitely has good skills and from what i understand, i know you’re going to give more detail in, but she didn’t have much of an amateur career.
So, for someone that didn’t have a deep amateur career like her skills are, you know are above that so yeah yeah she her amateur was not career.
It was really not long at all.
She only had about 10 fights, but she was able to contest world cups in india, and now she showed a high level in those fights and the reason why she turned professional at 19 years old is basically because she had more of a professional boxing oriented style.
Uh going forward and looking more to deliver the hard blows than to score uh like they do in the amateurs so her you know her ability to to transition from amateur to the pros was a lot better man, because you know she was better suited for it Than their amateurs, because you know she likes to bang and that’s what we like man, we like these – we, like these girls, there’s been a few um a few cases like that over the years.
A quick example of you know: um arturo gotti, one of the reasons why i can’t remember if he won nationals or not, but i know one of the reasons why they turned pros because they said he had more of a pro style and um more recently, david Lemire from uh also from he was stopping everyone as an amateur as a youth and uh right before right before he turned a senior, he turned professional because they knew you know he might not.
He might not have done as good um at the senior level just because of the amateur style but anyways i shouldn’t it took so long back.
Won’T aiming you know it’s it’s it’s all good, it’s all good it all.
It all comes back around my whole point.
My whole point of saying that no point, i’m saying that is that some some fighters you’re right they do have that pro style, so it does make sense for them to turn professional instead of definitely see what i like about.
This girl, though, is um.
You know in a quick from her debut she had a quick four fights and you know she went undefeated, bang, four, no and then the pandemic kids and she can’t really do much her next fight, then, is for the vacant commonwealth.
Female super brandon title.
So, on her fifth fight, she’s, fighting carly skelkey for this title, only with five fights, while this being her fifth fight – and you know, carly schelke it being her.
Fourth, and you know what they fought to a draw uh, you know i’d love to see a rematch in that fight.
I think both women uh definitely need to get back in the ring and settle it because you know they did box a great match.
It did go the distance, they did die, uh her next fight, literally almost uh, almost a year after that man, because she didn’t fight again uh until september of this year, and that fight was actually sorry september of last year, because it’s now 2022.
She carly skelkey october 31st, 2020 and then she doesn’t get back in the ring again until september 11th 2021.
And what does she do? She fights maria romero for the ebu european female super phantom title which she did lose in the eighth round uh.
But yes, this young girl, uh, you know being very new to the game, has already fought for two major championships and uh.
You know she’s, just a young young age of 22.
You know it’s gon na be nice to see this girl bounce back from that uh.
You know, i know she’s young in the career and – and you know, she’s got a lot of time left it’s gon na be nice to see her and how she handles uh.
Bouncing back from that that loss and that draw uh, you know having had a chance to win two championships already yeah yeah yeah.
As i say all the time you know, l doesn’t stand for loss, it stands for learning.
So hopefully she learns learns from this experience and um yeah, like i said just from watching her highlights her skills.
She does have the skills, so i i’m assuming that loss that she one had that she does have just comes from having just a little bit of inexperience, so you know yeah to see her next fight.
Yes, i can’t wait to see her fight again and you know what david caldwell of caldwell boxing and her manager kieran farrell.
They are going to do her well they’re, going to do her justice we’re going to get to see her again within the we’re.
Definitely going to see her in the year.
I hope we don’t have to wait a whole another year to watch this girl get the ring, because it’s looking like that at the moment.
But hopefully we get to see you in the next couple of months in action.
Guys but in the meantime, go check her out go watch her highlights man watch this girl, boxman she’s, one of these up-and-coming females – that’s gon na be around for a long time.
Definitely gon na be a household name.
She’S got power, she’s got accuracy.
She’S got great defense man and you know what she’s a talented young female fighter, and i can’t wait to see her back in the ring and guys.
I hope you like her just as much as i do.
