Now, for today’s episode, guys, we are talking about an undefeated Guatemalan super middle, this kid by the name of Lester Martinez, Lester, Martinez, guys.
This undefeated Guatemalan is now ranked number 40 out of 1444 in the world, with his last win against Isaiah Steen.
Who was ranked number 15 in the United States at the time of their fights uh? This one was a great fight.
Guys ended with a TKO in the eighth round.
This kid he’s only 27 years old he’s got Richard Steele in his Corner as his manager.
This kid guys, let me just let me break it down for you.
You know this kid he’s today, unboxing, we we feature this Rising Star, Lester Martinez, you know, born 95 blister grew up in San Benedito.
He discovered his passion for boxing as a tender age of 12 and it was a defining moment in his life.
Lester won the Schoolboy.
National championships marked the beginning of his illustrious career, his talent, soon caught the attention of many boxing enthusiasts uh.
He was encouraged to move to Guatemala City for further development of the skills.
In 2011 he won his first International competition at the Central American championships.
Uh earning a gold medal the following year.
He represented as a Central American champion and went on to win gold at the Pan American school games.
In the same year he also became the first Guatemalan to ever medal at the Ava World Championships by taking home silver at the youth World Championships.
In your event, Lester continued to make strides in the boxing world, even though he had faced setbacks like losing to Jamal herring in 2012 uh American boxing Olympic qualification tournament.
However, he didn’t let that determ and he kept working hard to achieve his goals in 2013 and 2017 Lester won back-to-back first place finishes a Central American games uh cementing his position as a dominant force in the boxing World in 2018.

He achieved yet another Milestone becoming the first quarter mile unboxer in 68 years to win gold at the Central American and Caribbean games.
He beat former world and Olympic champion Arlene Lopez for the middleweight Crown in a stunning display of skills and determination.
Lester Martinez is undoubtedly a boxer to watch out for in the future.
His passion for boxing, coupled with his unwavering commitment to Excellence, has made him a formidable opponent in the ring guys uh.

You know becoming this first Guatemalan, you know to win gold and making all these historical.
You know moments, the kid is no, no he’s not he’s not a stranger to winning.
You know great great trophies, we’ll say, or Greek accomplishments or accolades.
So his professional career has has been just as impressive as his amateur uh.
In 2019 he uh.
He announced his decision to go pro and assigning with the deal with Latin arms promotions and uh former referee, Richard Steele as his manager.
He then trained with legendary Mexican trainer Ignacio buristan in Mexico to prepare for his debut his first professional opponent was the 46 year old, Nicaraguan former world champion Ricardo, Mayorga and Mayorga stated in an interview that he would retire if he lost uh to the 23 year Old Martinez, however, on April 6, 2019 in the main event of the card in Guatemala – yes, guys, you figured it out, Martinez defeated Mayorga by technical knockout in the final second of the second round.
He backed up the x-champ into the ropes with power shots and the referee waved it off.
Give me Martinez, uh resounding victory.
In his debut a few months later, Martinez faced Daniel monteo in tier 10 scoring three knockdowns on route to a first round KO Victory.
He quickly gained momentum and went 4-0 before covid-19 pandemic halted his career for a long period of inactivity.
Martinez finally made his return on 27th of August 2020, stopping Mexican rival Abram Hernandez in the second round of their Roy Jones Jr, promoted fight.
The victory marked his first fight over a year out of the ring and his fifth straight win as a professional uh.
Martinez has a bright future ahead of him in the world of boxing, with his impressive amateur record and strong start to his professional career.
He’S already shown that he has the skills and determination to succeed at the highest levels of the sport guys.
He is now 15-0 um, his last fight against Isaiah Steen, Isaiah Steen.
You know he was ranked 15th in America and uh.
You know he’s now dropped in 19th after this fight, but uh you know he brought it to him and Isaiah is no such himself.
I’Ve talked about this kid before I profiled them on my show uh.
You know when these, when these great great Fighters get together and uh.
You know you can’t always keep that.
Oh, so hopefully this kid uh, you know, keeps me for a little while guys.
