What up my taco fight fans, thanks for tuning in to today’s episode of knuckle up featuring mike orr and cedric ben? You know what we’re doing.
We are doing these undefeated undiscovered and hungry prospects from around the world, where their only channel doing it, and this week we’re touching on the philippines and these hot prospects that they got coming out of there who are undefeated that you guys don’t know about that.
You need to know about, and today we’re talking about, none other than jade the hurricane bornee.
This 27 year old 5-4 with a 67-inch reach, is ranked 33 out of 55 in the superfly division in the philippines and he’s ranked 20th at a 670 in the world, and he is supporting a 17-0 with 11 ko record.
Let’S talk about this kid cedric.
Let’S get on it, what do you uh here we go here.
We go yeah yeah yeah, my bad, my bad um, just like our boy carl from the last bell boxing says in the chat here.
You know this has 11 kos and 17 wins.
That’S very good.
For for a little guy, that’s what i’m saying and specifically uh when you when you, when you sent me his name, i looked his name up and the second video that came up was.
He has a whole like.
How long is this video here a whole five minute, video of of of him dropping people with body shots um? So that’s what he’s known for, and it’s not just like one specific punch like a whatever it’s, whatever you leave.
One piece of your body open, he’s coming to tear it off yeah awesome.
So that’s the one thing that i noticed about him.
Definitely yo um, jade, borna uh may not be widely known as a name in boxing, but he’s no stranger to fighting world-class fighters.
You know at the 2013 asbc asian confederation junior boxing championship in the philippines.
He opened the tournament by scoring a third round stoppage of current ibf wba junior featherweight title holder, al gomez, before narrowly outpointing future three division champion kosi tanaka in the finals um.
You know he said that he knows uh that he was fighting in the ring with these fighters.
Uh who’d be holding belts one day, so he knew that these guys he was fighting were going to be holding belts and he was he was right about it.
This kid, you know, is now looking to show he can hang with those top boxers in the pros as well uh beginning with his fir, you know his fight, his opening fight man in the pros which uh honestly was a great, was a great belt.
If you guys haven’t had a chance to see it, that was a tko in the second round.
This kid is no um, you know he’s no slouch in the ring man dropping people with these big bombs to the body.
You know he showed he could win on the road.
You know handing the previous unbeaten ernesto delgado uh his first defeat by split decision in january of 2020 in washington state.
You know he has fought just once.
I believe once since then uh so he’s only fought.
Uh he hasn’t fought yet this year, man and uh.
I can’t wait to see this kid in the ring, but it’s definitely a kid.
You got to be looking out, for you know he only fought his last fight was actually uh january this year and uh.
He took on um obadi, who was 22 and won and uh this one ended in a ko in the third round.
If you guys hadn’t seen that go check that fight out man, it’s definitely one to watch.
I’D like to watch the body shot too yeah.
Yeah, i think i’m not sure, i’m pretty sure all right, i’m pretty sure all these all these body shot highlights are on different people, so so i’m assuming most of his kos come from uh come from that body shot.
So this guy you’re gon na have to look out for this guy.
You find this guy, you better, protect your ribs, definitely he’s a switch-hitting right-handed fighter and uh.
You know, and that was that was the way his last opponent obadi described him man and honestly uh.
Definitely he is one that can switch it and go to the body, man and uh.
You know he since then has moved to you know la uh.
Last year and uh has been taking on some new sparring uh.
You know new spying opponents definitely got some good coaches uh behind him.
He’S uh working with the two filipino coaches right now in la and uh he’s looking to you know, get his name known out there, man in in this uh in this world, ranking and not just be known in the philippines.
As you know, this amateur standout who turned pro this kid is turned pro and he is racking up.
You know what it is man uh.
What do we say he needs to get to europe.
That’S exactly what i’m saying.
Man carl you’re right he needs to get to europe.
He needs to start venturing off getting out into these new hotbeds of boxing men and testing his skills and uh, seeing if that 17-0 is truly a believable undefeated uh, you know record definitely want to see this kid.
You know for for a super fly.
This kid can definitely knock knock it with the best of the men uh guys.
I will let you know the next time this kid’s fighting i’ve been watching him.
I can’t wait to see him again.
I was hoping that we’d see him again this year.
You know, but only time will tell uh cedric anything.
You want to say about this: wonderful, wonderful, hard-hitting, uh little guy man, yeah man, i uh uh.
It’S always it’s always um landing hard body.
Shots is always harder.
You know the head is always usually easier to land.
This is you know it’s a bigger or easier target to to hit because people usually drop their hands and keep their hands.
You know, especially boxes nowadays like to drop their hands and do the mayweather defense, so they usually have their bodies covered and usually catching and slipping.
So it’s it’s.
It’S really hard to land.
A good body shot, let alone a buy shot.
That’S going to drop somebody! So this guy’s known for his body shots um.
He definitely has power.
Carl also asked you know the the question is level of opponent, um, that that is correct but, like we said before, you know just for a little guy.
That is still impressive for to have that many kos in uh this early in his career, especially by body shot.
Once again, did i mention he’s a good body shot puncher.
Yes, yo! He is an integrate.
He is in a great division.
Man he’s got lots of great talented fighters, uh that he can take on in this division.
That is straight up the truth um.
I definitely like watching these young cats go at it.
Man in these uh in the super fly you know, there’s nothing like watching.
115, pound guy go out there and knock the crap out of each other and uh.
You know be able to drop these guys with those with those shots.
Man um, he may fight gordina that’d be crazy.
Let’S see him get in there and fight cordina for sure.
Yeah, by the way, cordina are not good of the week yeah yeah yeah, but anyways.
You know, let’s talk about it for a minute, jade hurricane! You know what honestly can’t wait to see this guy get back in the ring, do what he does best and that’s body shotting people till they go to sleep and honestly, i’m i’m super excited for this.
One man 115 is still super strong.
Yes, it is man.
115 is super strong, they’re, fast, they’re, exciting they’re super strong, and that is why i’m bringing this guy to your guy’s attention out there who don’t know of this kid.
Yet if you haven’t check him out man, you heard it here, michael redford, cedric ben in the den bringing you those young, hungry, undiscovered prospects from around the world and guess what tomorrow we’re going to continue with some more of these young cats coming out of the Philippines, with these undefeated records that you should be watching out for in the near future, you heard it here.
Man we’ll see you tomorrow same time same channel new prospect, thanks to all the people that dropped the comments, much love and respect shout out to carl.
If you haven’t yet check out last male boxing man, thursdays, they do live gon na miss it.
Don’T miss that man and we’ll see you tomorrow.
You know what it is.
Man knuckle up.
