[ Music ] did you like that intro? That is our new intro hats off to the producer eric for hooking that up for us, that’s great! Welcome talk and fight fans for another episode of the friday night panel featuring yours truly and my core four uh.

Today.

We do have a special guest sitting behind us in the green room, uh cigar as a fighter from india uh who used to fight – and this is what i want to ask him about in the super boxing league uh – that i know amir khan had something to Do with in helping to share it and launch it and brand it uh, and i don’t think it still operates.

That’S what we need to ask him, but there’s lots of boxing news uh to talk about elsewhere.

We have some decent bites coming up this weekend and uh and uh, and if we get really bored there are a lot of really great headlines uh to discuss.

If we get short of things to discuss.

If i asked that i don’t know, i i i know tim tim with the spoon contacted you mike and said: he’d be joining us, but would be a bit late.

Let’S uh, let’s hear all about it.

Okay, can you tell us about the super boxing league? This is my first uh first time i play very like a big stage in my first fight in super boxing league, so it is hard for me uh.

I like playing uh like fixed, but i uh, but i uh.

I always uh train hard.

So it is not hard for me so uh, my first fight with an army boy he’s already a national champion, but no problem uh, i trained hard.

So that’s why i win my first fight with sandeep nan and after that i go many countries for playing professional boxing and you’re you’re, currently the welterweight champion of asia right.

Are you still that champion yeah? Are you doing wbc? Is your content champion excellent excellent? When did you start boxing at what age did you start boxing at the age of 17? I started starting with my starting with kickboxing, but after two years i switched to the cake i switched to the boxing uh.

It’S like 18 19.

I started boxing, but at the age of 17 i started kickboxing did you uh? Did you have much amateur fights facility? Did you did you have much of an amateur career like uh? Did you before you turn professionally yeah yeah yeah? I have a mature background.

Also.

I played two-time national champion uh national championship and not go for when i should not go for any international tour, but i belong in national games.

After that i switched to the professional because some years, uh boxing is a ban in india due to some reasons uh.

So, that’s why it’s the time i switch to the pro boxing? Well, india is a big country with a large population.

Uh, do you have a lot of competition from other indians who are taking up the sport of boxing? Yes, in india, where i live, i live in haryana state of india, so here is a hub of boxing.

I realized the hub of boxing, so very tough competition, but you know if you train hard, so uh like competition is nothing if i train hard.

So i always uh trying to train hard for my upcoming fights and make it easy.

So do you have some upcoming fights to tell us about yeah uh, coming 28th jan uh, my fight with an indian boxer? So it’s coming 28th, my fight.

It’S live on! Mx player, okay, excellent.

What uh is? Is there a lot of competition in india for boxing like? Is it becoming a really really big sport? I’Ve heard it’s starting to take off and almost become yeah, almost like almost like the national sport and now in india and professional boxing and amateur housing.

Both the competition are very tough.

If i talk about pro boxing so nowadays, every month, two to three shows of professional boxing in every state, so competition day by day, competition will increase or professional boxing uh growing in india and big shows also what’s up what was the name of the the boxing League gram: what was the name of that super boxing league in other countries like dubai, and it’s only a single show: okay, after in uh two three months, only one show but now uh, like the punch boxing organized uh boxing events aft every month and maybe only Gap of one month they organize many events.

So that’s why boxing is growing, but supervising league is not anymore in india.

Did you make any money yeah in india? If i talk about money is not very good but yeah.

Okay, fine money is like good, but not like usa.

I think that’s everyone’s dream, but uh amir, amir khan uh, you know, is still in the mix.

I mean he’s he’s originally from india.

I believe he lives in london nowadays, but he’s a big spokesperson for for india and for all of boxing.

Quite frankly, do you know amir khan yeah? I know amir khan and i already challenge amir khan, because one time he says no one indian can beat american.

But i openly challenged to amir khan and i’m always ready to fight him, because india and pakistan is like two war countries.

So that’s why i always ready to fight with american and definitely i uh.

I promise to you to also and everyone to also i’m knocked out.

I knock out amir and brought by india.

Oh okay, i like that.

No not not afraid to get in the ring eh, so so you’re always ready you’re, always ready to go you’re pretty much.

[ Laughter ], sorry, i did not realize amir khan was from pakistan uh, so so yeah.

So there’s a bit of a rivalry there between yourself and the mere khan.

I get it yeah.

What’S up all right, what’s the date in your training like um, like run us through your prep, coming up to your next fight uh, what was camp like? So he always tried to train me and now it’s 5 40 a.

m.

It’S my training time! So, like 5 a.

m, i training.

I start my training in morning 5 to 7, 30 or 8 in day time, i’m going to the gym for some weight training and in the evening time again like at the time of 5 to 7.

I again start in morning workout.

I do some like cardio work like go for a rally and this time, but in the evening i only work on my skills like do some sparing work.

Do some technical work in the evening so now, like i really fight at least 20 24 to 25 rounds first firing, and then i can play easily between 12 rounds, so you’re busy these days, yeah yeah, i’m not he’s busy business training yeah definitely uh is is Do you find that there’s a lot of politics in boxing in india, like is? Is it uh? Is it heavily politicked up like in the united states, and no not by more in uh now before maybe some politics, but now the leader is very good.

So that’s why, in sports, no politics everything is fine or going in good manner.

I was going to ask: are there are there promoters over there who can put on big, shows and invite other fighters from other countries to come to india? Will there be big crowds in attendance if, if okay, first of all, are there promoters in india promoting fights in india? Yes, yeah every promoter, always promoting fights in india like big banners in social media? So if a promotion is very good and in my my handle is also like very famous in india, like my instagram page and my facebook page is also very famous, so i always uh put my everything in my social media and karma troussy also are in some Media interviews for a boxer and everything how many followers do you have now? I have 163k followers in okay followers in instagram and uh facebook uh one lakh, 59, 000, something and in youtube: 10 000.

, wow, yeah, wow, so you’re very popular.

So what i was asking is, if, if the promoters in india uh are starting to invite other boxers from other countries to raise the level of competition in india, is that starting to happen? Yeah sometimes because many times other country boxes and other promoters come to india and fight with indian boxers.

Also, and and my my fight in 2018, with this fight with abdullah, is an uh south african boxer and i’ve been, and my uh last fight with some uh with australian boxing, troy uh he’s an australian champion, but uh only due to some uh points, i lost My fight only i lost only one fight with troy and, if i say seriously talking twice or that’s why, when because fight organizing australia, fight organizing in other countries, so maybe decision has changed because only 1925, not very gap fight, so um, do you have any plans On coming over to north america, for training or fighting yeah, i’m trying to come to america very soon for training with some under good coaches.

Like you, we lost them.

Yeah yeah we lost sound, we did yeah, we lost your sound can’t hear so.

For those who might not know cigar is actually, i believe it’s 5 8 5 am in the morning for him.

So he’s starting his day with an interview on talk and fight.

He he’s he’s the fellow who wants to take on amir khan for the uh belt, but apparently politics are getting in the way, not not in india but uh on the american side, who has other visions of other fights? What have you? What have you heard tim? I i didn’t hear nothing about um.

I heard americana was coming back, but i thought he was doing exhibitions um um.

I i was with him a couple of times in the uk, he’s really quick, but he can’t take a punch all he needed.

I i always used to say that if he do his defense right, he would have did a lot more.

He was, he would have beat some of those guys because he quick and he knocked out a couple of guys, but he, if you hit him he’s leaving here, that’s probably the benefit that he has.

He can’t take a punch – and you know we’re good friends, but he’s quick, but as soon as you hit him on the chin glass chin, how many knockouts you got, how many, how many knockouts he got cigar cigar right? Is he still with us yeah he’s on my screen on my screen he’s frozen though no he’s not.

I don’t know, oh really, okay, so let’s ask him that’s what you need asking cigar, how many, how many knockouts you have? Can you hear us we lost shoot? He he has to hit his button or something right.

Yeah he’s having he’s having he’s having tim witherspoon problems, yeah, he probably just got ta.

That’S all yeah yeah, that’s probably got ta, be he got the picture.

So now all you got ta do is the audio eric make sure there is not a red strike, so so uh cigar has founded his own fitness and boxing club in his village to train young aspirants in 2019 at his club cigar and his friends provide training Where money is no limitation, what country is that it’s india, oh okay, the indian boxing scene is getting pretty big.

Apparently so it’s uh, it’s the next big thing.

Didn’T they have a cruiserweight, didn’t they have a cruiserweight that won the gold medal or something like that.

I believe so i believe so, and i heard from some of my my uh, my um indian friends, that that um they were building up their box and stuff.

They were really doing getting the amateurs, but they did have somebody a couple years ago that won the bronze, the bronze.

I think so there’s a lot of there’s a guy from pakistan.

His name is azar khan he’s trying to go like over there trying to do.

Pakistan they wanted me to come over to a fight so over in that area.

I think there’s a lot of boxing going on and they they’re making gloves they’re making headgears and making cups they’re manufacturing a whole lot of boxing stuff from all these different thousands of different people and um they’re trying to get into the box and stuff yeah yeah.

I witnessed that nice.

Would it be nice if he could talk yeah? I don’t know it’s probably right in front of his uh face.

He just got to hit that button.

Well, he’s uh, yeah, yeah, there’s a whole bunch of stuff to talk about tim and uh.

Mike, what do you got lined up because i know lee wood and mike conlon are coming up pretty soon their fight? I know junior tomorrow’s, my birthday, so what i get to enjoy is russell jr versus maggie sayo, yeah, uh, wbc featherweight world champion gary russell jr.

Will defend his world title and display his blistering hand, speed against top contender and wc wbc mandatory challenger mark magazio headlining action live on showtime tomorrow in a premier boxing championships event at boga, uh, hotel and casino and spa in atlantic city uh.

This is, this is going to be a great card very good event.

For my birthday, i’m loving it uh sabriel matthias is on this card uh.

Also, we get to see evan holyfield back in action who is still undefeated at 8-0, as well as rasheen brown, who’s.

11-0, looking to uh improve his record to uh as well as lashawn rodriguez is also on this card.

So a bunch of guys up and comers.

You know some new prospects to be watching for we’re going to get lots of good stuff to see uh.

I’M super excited for that.

That’S uh, that’s all going on starting at nine o’clock tomorrow night.

My sound is not coming back.

How you doing perfect! It sounds perfect.

Now, really, oh, it was uh so so who ate mike? Who you got for that fight, gary russell jr or mark magazio? I think i think some problem sound, oh he’s on his mic is on.

Like you know, i like megazord, you guys, like my mic, he’s the filipino sensation.

He’S 23 knows 16 knockouts man.

He fights at a uh, you know metro manila and most recently scored a career best victory in august, knocking out former champion julio ceja in the 10th round of the fight he trailed on the scorecards um.

You know the 26 year old fights in the u.

s for the sixth time on january this.

This will be the sixth time he gets to fight man and uh.

You know, mega style is trained by freddie roach in uh.

You know california there and owns 12 round decision victories over hayashi and uh romero robles, in addition to the six rounds, stoppage and former title challenger uh chris avalos, so it’s gon na be a big fight.

Man, i’m uh.

I’M super excited to see that, but who else i really am really excited to see on this card? Man is uh sabriel, matthias uh, 17.

17 kos.

We talked about him last week, um.

He will look to avenge his only career loss, which came by a neurodecision uh in 2020 when he enters the ring tomorrow.

Uh, you know fighting out of his native uh puerto rico.

Matthias has rebounded from that defeat to scoring back-to-back impressive victories uh.

He stopped previously unbeaten melee hawkins in october in a sixth round and forced a previously unbeaten uh to quit after eight rounds in their mark in the may clash.

So matthias has stopped his first 15 opponents inside the distance and has still yet uh to go to a decision in a victory.

So this is uh.

It’S gon na be a big one man, so lots of good action so guys set your pvrs, get ready.

We’Re gon na get some boxing action underway.

Definitely tomorrow, starting at nine o’clock.

Man you’re gon na love, it uh uh yeah.

Talking to the to the union, people all the different podcast guys and um i’m going to get back in the box, and i feel bad that i don’t you know.

I can’t i can’t you know collaborate with you know with the former box and stuff like that.

My heart is there, but i’ve been on taking care of.

You know the baby, and i did tell you guys that i’m going to concentrate on these fight stuff, because it does mean something you know where you at, but you know who’s fighting, but you know who’s.

The top guy, you know, who’s the look, the small guy so but the bit i was i’ve been talking to all these guys.

Um richard schwartz um greg towns.

We had a podcast, it went pretty good um one of one of the i talked so i took i’ll talk really positive, that one of the organizations are um; they they they offered to pay some of my bills and stuff.

So this is what’s waiting for.

For a lot of organizations we just got to stick together, did matt ferrago and ring and ring 10 um he’s upset about all these boxers.

That’S taking money getting money from him, but when he go to other when they go to other organizations, he’d get mad and tell him don’t go, which is wrong.

We all need to take money from from whoever is offering it and then we need a union.

So we can just get it from one place, so i won’t feel bad.

If i help somebody and then he get help somewhere else.

That’Ll make me feel better, but and unlike matt ferrago and lisa mcclellan lisa mccullen is jeremy, keller’s sister she’s been doing real good she’s been taking care of him.

You know, and my last thing is is the last thing is that um? At the end of our conversation with her like she was cussing me out and everything – and i keep saying that and i and that – and i called her back and i said: lisa you’re – a beautiful uh young lady – you don’t need to swear all the time and I think you guys remember that so i was trying to tell the members of ring 10 how i was treated.

You know how i was treated, you know and and and so we’re just trying to bring everybody together.

I don’t care what they do up there.

I just want to be down or help organizing the boxers.

You know, help organizing the boxes.

I don’t want to be president of this or secretary.

I want to be or help organizing boxes getting the boxes together and then we whatever we got to go just go there and do it that’s what i want to do, but it seems like it’s a power thing: oh i’m giving them this much of the impact.

This well, but the other guys don’t care like um uh henry henry henry.

I can’t pronounce his last name, but henry heck stack or something henry and their ring ring ring eight.

They don’t care if i mentioned, if they didn’t care.

If i mentioned matt ferrago on ring ten but matt for reagan didn’t want me to you know the same thing about the other organization.

So you know we going back and forth, but paul johnson got involved, um david’s talking and went pretty good.

I think we’re going to get a couple more.

We got in touch with mitch green yeah.

I got in touch with mitch green, he he can understand you, but you can’t hear what was coming out and i’m i’m trying to get him me and my market director want to go up there and get and get and get in and talk to him and See if we can get nationally get on television or you on any kind of cable to see if him and mike could get together and and make up that’s what we’re trying to do.

But mitch is still kind of angry he’s, still kind of angry, and if he let it go, he can make some money.

He can make some money, he he talks, pretty he talks and then and then um and then he understands stuff.

But when he talks it’s just a little confusion, you can get him, but so that’s what i’ve been doing like last week mitch green.

We trying to get him his face to show up, so we can um bring back what him and mike did and to have them make up.

So we can go on and help other people we’re trying to uh get some people to get give him some money right now awesome.

So you seem busy tim yeah, but you know what on a real quick on the podcasters.

I just was forgetting, if somebody would call me i would have i’d, have been on them.

You know, i’d have been there waiting willing and ready to go.

You know we’re glad we’re glad to.

I did like there’s a guy greg towns that does a lot of podcasters too.

He the one did that podcast.

Have you seen it me richard schwartz, um paul johnson? Did you see that one i haven’t yet i’ll? Look for it, though.

Oh, that was a good one, which was a good one.

Yeah it was going down, it was going down back and forth and um oh wow yeah.

It was going back and forth and then they tried to.

They was telling um great towns to take.

Take it down so take the video down, so i told greg, don’t take it down, it’s it’s showing some true thoughts about all for all of us.

I said, leave it up and it came off pretty good because the organization helped pay for some of my bills.

They said tim we gon na do this.

We all need to get be together.

Instead of i don’t want to be big shot all right.

I just want things where i don’t want to be.

No president or a vice president or secretary.

I want to be not not even in charge of the boxes getting the boxes together and then we all communicate.

That’S all that’s all i want to do cigar um.

I wanted to ask you uh.

So yeah you you, you started a gym and you run a gym in your hometown, yeah i have on.

I have my team also i’m the owner of my gym and many jews nearby, my academy, so i also run a boxing club also so most welcome to you and your team.

So anytime, you come in my gym and that’s a long ride.

Hey yeah, hey anytime! I’M over there i’ll come sure.

That’S a long ride right so um.

When did you start? When did you start uh this gym like? When did you get it going, and you know the youth well like you’re, really into helping the youth and growing india’s boxing team right, yeah, so um? It says that no money is no object.

So do you take in uh? You know people that can’t afford it and subsidize them and still train them and stuff like that.

Do we hear you so yeah? You can’t understand? Oh, i’m sorry yeah, i’m probably talking too fast one question at a time um i noticed when i was reading the article about your gym uh.

It says that uh money is no limitation.

So do you help the kids that are, you know not able to pay for it and do you give them free classes? Yeah yeah.

I give some free classes for some poor people who are students.

They can’t afford, like boxing fees and can’t afford diet.

So i give some students to give some clothes and – and i train some students free of cost, but some students give some fees and everything, so that’s fine, but they don’t give no problem.

Everyone can do boxing because uh boxing is like a boxing in my blood.

So i always try to uh give coaching to everyone no fee for poor people or poor student, but some people, some students, give fees.

So that’s enough for me: yeah, that’s excellent! That’S that’s awesome! They’Re, probably just releasing.

They probably get some good strong boxes out.

I know i know they.

I know they.

They probably train hard, there’s a lot of things to look forward to like as far as getting in shape and stuff like that, um like where we take for granted in america and other like countries, england, they they probably train their butt off in india.

They they train because they want to make it a lot of not a lot of people want to make it.

I don’t understand you know, but do you know that there’s a boxer from india he was cruiserweight um olympic olympic cruiserweight um.

He had the bronze about five years ago, or i i think i don’t know his name, but he won the bronze yeah.

I know who you’re talking about.

Oh, no, okay, that’s about maybe five ten years ago, less than five less than ten or they looking it up i’ll.

Let mike do that.

Okay go ahead, but you know tim tim.

You know it’s interesting.

What cigar went through in india? He went through uh.

They put together, what’s called the super boxing league, a bunch of i think.

Rich people put it together, but at the end of the day they couldn’t afford to pay the fighters to fight.

So it lasted only about a year.

But it’s a really good idea.

A really good vision to pay for everybody, because then, but then they realize how big uh the expense of running an actual me got like.

It was incredible from from what i’m what i have been told uh, the expenses far exceeded whatever they had planned at it and there’s a lot of excitement in india uh.

For you know, people who are who previously didn’t see the opportunity to fight all of a sudden saw the opportunity to fight because, because for the longest time in india, boxing was outlawed, it wasn’t allowed, it wasn’t allowed there and once it was allowed uh.

The people realized, you know, you’ve got a billion people living in india and i think i think, probably cricket is probably their number one sport yeah, but the boxing boxing – and so this was launched in 2017 a few years ago, uh.

But what what? What i found interesting about what cigar was just telling us is that to me is like a microcosm of a union, because he wants to take care of all those people who want to get involved in boxing.

He wants to make sure that they’re trained properly.

They have access to the gyms, they have access to professionals, who’ve been there and done that, and i think you know part and parcel of what you’re talking about tim is is what’s happening in these rural communities around the world.

No, no thanks.

They need help organizing they need funding um, you know, maybe did they? Did the government put any money up the government uh for like the olympics and all that hello, sugar, an amitabh boxing government, give uh help.

You know in amateur boxing government give full help, but in professional uh government uh don’t have to any boxer, but in amateur government alberta, but in professional books that every professional boxer face many problems.

Some diet problems some training problem and they don’t uh and no professional function going outside the india due to funding and due to not good parts money.

That’S why they fighting only in india and in india.

Not very good puts money in fight, only some very less money and many times money is not in the match.

So that’s why and then you know very well without money.

Nothing without money is nothing so he’s got to organize a professional, the professional part of it.

They got to organize it and amazers they.

They have money for them right.

They have money in amateur, good money, very good money, but in professional money.

Oh, we need couple rich people to go over there.

Even though there’s rich people over there, they would love to do that.

Um go over there and um and um just construct the professional that that’s a lot of money.

You’Ll be a lot of champions over there they’re trainer, they work hard.

They don’t be running around the street.

Chasing girls cigar was telling us he’s, got like a couple hundred thousand followers on his various social media platforms.

So so boxing boxing has a following in india for sure, but like you’re saying it take it it’s going to take someone to organize these various components that are necessary uh to make guys like cigar some money, so real cash yeah yeah.

Could you go like you? Well, you go to school, um and, like you know, the boxing school and you’d be training your amateur.

Then you went olympic.

Then you you, you get a job, but the job is being a professional going out winning making money uh taking care of your family and everything.

So they just got to organize um.

There’S some people, i don’t know they.

They probably know exactly what to do.

I mean they know what to do in terms of like building a professional once you turn professional, they know what to do just got to find a way to organize the money.

I guess and get some people and get some ideas from different countries, get some ideas from england america about so they get them run their boxing.

It should be no problem, it makes me wonder it makes me wonder what comes first.

You know like what is it? The fighters, once you have the fighters, then you need the the arenas once you’ve got the arenas, then you need the broadcasters and this right now the the live streaming organization – part of it.

But then you need the managers, you need the promoters, you need the trainers.

You so it’s a huge as you’re saying tim, a huge professional component yeah they got to put it together.

You got to put something together.

Uh said guys, you’re just going to say something chant.

Actually i wanted to ask him about uh an award that he won.

Um, the the iron man of india award 17.

uh.

Was it like? What was that, like you won the iron man award for india, you got to be in shape to win some iron man.

Well, you got to be ready, go ahead.

What was it? What was that experience like yeah? No can’t hear them again, we lost them, shoot you’re, asking the tough questions mike.

Oh i’m sorry, darned.

It went away again huh yeah too bad.

Now you got to be fit man.

Could you hear? No, i can’t hear him.

That’S maybe because he over, oh you over there right, yeah, potentially potentially, oh, no he’s coming and going here.

He comes oh there.

I think it’s because he’s all we over there.

I seen a good this guy.

He was good and all they need is some skills, just some more skills and stuff, but i seen them boxing and they didn’t shake.

I think that if dylan white tighten his defense up, he’ll be all of them.

If he’s taking his defense, oh yeah, i was with him, he got more heart, he got a lot of heart, he is he’ll.

Fury’S camp dylan dylan got plenty of heart and if he and if somebody show him some defense where he don’t get hit, he’s knocking somebody out, he didn’t have a good defense against joshua.

He got hit with that shot, but if their hand was up and he was blocking, he would drop joshua again, so both of them defenses is is skeptical.

You know it’s except getting hit.

What what i was dealing, i seen him in action he’s strong.

These guys won’t get the right people, that’s working with him.

I’Ve also tried to work on my defense.

Also, i’m also trying to work on my defense also always trying you’ve been working hard.

My defense is also not very strong right.

Sometimes my punch is going a lot to the target and my energy is like waste, so that’s i always try to focus on my sparings.

That’S it.

I always try to.

You know, work on my guard and everything so, but i need a good trainer yeah.

I need a like a good trainer at international level like already made some good world champions.

Also, hey tim.

If you want to look, you will stay pretty like this, but this defense, listen, everybody comes out and throw the jab that’s the first weapon, everybody uses.

That’S the first weapon that everybody should teach their their their students.

The jab is first blocking their jab, because when the bell ring you try to figure each other with the jab with the jab.

Second thing: is you got to block their jab? You don’t go slap, yeah, leave your hands in front of your face and go boom.

Yeah yeah! I don’t always use like this.

This not like this.

Only like this yeah you that you just, but you got to move one at a time.

You can’t move them.

Both this one’s got to be for defense, and one of them got to be for offense.

So so it’s like it’s like this [ __ ].

This is your defense, you jab, but you leave the defense there, the block or you leave the defense.

You had to block a hook, so you got a jab and you got and when you throw punches, you don’t think they’re going to hit you you’re going to come back on defense, defense, defense, a lot of guys a lot of people.

Don’T a lot of trainers! Don’T do that and that’s where they get they fall short: joshua got dropped, um and dylan white got dropped.

Tyson fury got job.

Why? Because they didn’t go back on defense and there’s a lot of trainers out there saying your best offense is your defense and i’m saying that you got to learn both.

I never would tell the boxer to go out and go all crazy on his offense to win the fight when you can relax back on defense and still knock him out, i’m so comfortable.

When i get in the ring – because i know i could block punches, but when i didn’t know how i was kind of confusing it was kind of getting it, i go to my son’s gym i’ll, be training little kids to do this.

You do this and probably okay block the jab block the jab.

That’S that’s! That’S.

Why that’s why you have that big belt over your shoulder right there i was in england, uh champ.

I was in england a lot training, training, boxers and, and only some of the reasons why it didn’t work out um, but with clinton woods it worked out.

It’S just money or the or somebody else want to move in, like his promoter wanted to uh be in the corner, and i didn’t really like that.

Dennis hopson uh junior need to sit on this, get it put on his tie and be at ringside he’s promoter.

He shouldn’t put on uh uh, put on a corner jack and get in the corner.

He should be a promoter, get sit there on the side and watch his uh.

Now they can’t hold the sentence.

If you’re winning fights like that, that’s cool stay in the pocket block punch boom, dig in there digging it right back to defense, jab jab, you know, and then, and every time you seen him in the fight.

You can see the gloves hitting them like that and you’ve seen the you’ve seen him.

You see the results in his eyes.

Remember he had the puff, so defense is just as important as offense, but his trainers don’t know all they know is offense.

Man and – and i know that i can help the guy yeah – it’s the money yeah i i do need money, but i like the guy and i like wilder wilder – i make him into a different person.

All the good trainers are not here all those trainers that pass away with that knowledge.

I’M glad i had one that had it, that’s why these guys don’t know what it is, because they they never was taught it.

So they probably think i’m awkward, no i’m serious, but a lot of you guys doing.

Then i’m like okay, it’s new stuff and the language changed too.

We used to say, put the weight on the back foot.

They they say something else.

They say something i heard crawford or not crawford, but i heard one of them guys saying um angle, this way angle.

That way, i never heard my trainer trainer say angle.

He said a different word, so there’s different language today, too, there’s different languages where they had different languages when the old timers were teaching us like, like joe frazier told me, you put the weight on your front in between in between your ankle and your knee.

You know put your weight on that calf when you throw on your left hook.

He told me that personally and i started i started working, i started feeling the power stealing and stuff like that.

You know they know exactly what to do, but today, ali just danced ali was somebody that really wasn’t taught, and he did this all natural he’s a superman i’ll leave he passed around and he got hit with a lot of shots.

He said fruit like a butterfly sting like a bee, but he did get hit with a lot of shots that wouldn’t to me.

I’M not saying it was an illusion, but if you really look, he got hit with a lot of good shots.

You know, but a lot of times he missed too so um they need trainers, man, it’s a shame.

The way the promoters and the managers dennis have rap report.

Remember i talked about that.

Yes, yep man he was in.

He was in the gym, sometimes hitting the heavy bags with us.

That’S what i liked about him and if you needed something he would get it.

If you needed a sparring partner, oh no get him.

He had security there you needed money, he got it for you.

You know that’s what kind of promoter you want.

You don’t want the kind that stay back and wait for the phone call.

You want one to come, see you and say: hi, hey how you doing today.

I don’t know of hearings and i’m doing it, but yeah.

So can i talk to you, okay, huh yeah.

So you know we not only have to take care of the young people who have aspirations to become great fighters.

One day we have to take care of the people.

Who’Ve ten spend their time in the ring um, giving their lives basically to a sport.

They love, and yet the the sport is not giving back.

So i think that i think, given this new era of live streaming of broadcasting online, i think the money that’s being generated by pay-per-view needs to go back to uh programs to help not only the retired fighters.

The programs help the young fighters as well and somewhere in the middle yeah, those pro fighters did do.

They really need more than 16 million dollars.

For one fight, i mean when you’re, when you’re at the pinnacle of your success tim.

What was your biggest paycheck? What was your biggest paycheck? My biggest paycheck was with um.

It was with, i think it was with bonecrusher when i took the dive really, because i knew the only way i got that much money is because i knew they wanted me out the way i know i know that don king wanted me out the way this Is when he was grooming to get to try to get tyson on his team and so um like i smoked that marijuana and got in trouble for the title that’s gon na take it.

I paid twenty five thousand dollars over to the rehab uh banana found out that don king, all he wanted was tyson and he didn’t care about the other boxers.

So we we got 800 000 for that fight 800, 000 for it, and we could have got more than that because he just wanted me out the way he wanted bone crush to fight tyson.

Then he wanted to get tyson.

So we, if, if that wasn’t the case, i think i would have got 300 000.

, but they wanted me out the way, and so we said that number we could have got a million.

I think yeah and they said yeah.

They just wanted me what i’m saying real quick here is that, given the pay-per-view numbers these days, where the fighters are making millions now making millions, i think i think i think we can take that down a notch and redistribute that that wealth uh as you’re saying And i think if the union needs to be put in place to do that, then let’s get that union going, let’s get it off the ground anyway, we’re running.
